| Mike Venneberg started as a producer with Venneberg Insurance in 1989. Mike attended the CIGNA Producers Training program and then obtained his agent licenses. He has also worked toward completing the CPCU designation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Western Oregon University. He has handled many different types of southeast Alaska business, marine and construction accounts. He and his wife Tonya grew up in Sitka and now live and raise their three children here. |
| Amy Nutting moved to Sitka in 1996 after graduating from Northwest Nazarene University with a degree in Business Finance. She has been working for Venneberg Insurance since September of 1996, and is licensed as a property, casualty, and life insurance agent. Amy specializes in commercial insurance, providing coverage for all types of businesses from small contractors to large corporations. She has developed extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and the various products it offers, which she uses to expertly determine the needs of each of her clients. Amy is also an active member of the community. When she’s not spending time with her husband and two daughters, Amy volunteers in her church, mentors adolescent girls, and plays on a community softball team. Her knowledge and expertise are invaluable to both her clients and to the team at Venneberg Insurance. |
| Sarah Newhouse moved to Sitka in 2002 with her daughter to attend Sheldon Jackson College. After attaining an Associate’s degree there, she moved on to the University of Alaska Southeast to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. In 2005 she joined the team at Venneberg Insurance and became licensed in property and casualty insurance, and later expanded that license to include life insurance. Sarah specializes in personal insurance, providing homeowners, auto, umbrella, watercraft, and recreational vehicle coverages. Prior to her work at Venneberg Insurance she was employed in the hospitality industry, gaining extensive experience in customer service and familiarity with the community. Like most Sitkans who love where they live, Sarah spends her free time taking advantage of everything our community has to offer, from hiking gorgeous trails and boating in Sitka Sound to reading in coffee shops and attending social events. |
